Our Philosophy

  • We have a naturalistic point of view of the world
  • We take this world to be the only one we will ever see, and therefore we value this world and want to make the best of it.
  • We do not get our morals from a higher power (that does not mean we don’t have morals).

Our Aims

  • To bring together atheist students of UNSW and create a fun and friendly environment where they can voice their opinions and concerns.
  • To create a more positive image of atheism and atheists, and to fight misconceptions that may exist about atheism and atheists.
  • To actively promote and safegaurd secularism by means of lobbying, eg. emailing or other peacefull forms of activism.
  • To help literate students on atheist philosophy, history and high profile atheists in atheist movement, and introduce members to other atheist, agnostic and freethought groups and organisations.
  • To give atheism and atheists concerns a voice on the compass.
